Engines and Boilers

The PINTAIL steam plant is one of the most compact and powerful in our range. Where space is a premium, the PINTAIL provides the answer.

The PLOVER engine is an in-line variant of the Pintail.  It's power output is identical to that of the Pintail and will use the same boilers as the Pintail to provide it with steam.

The PUFFIN engine is a twin cylinder in-line oscillating engine that still proves to be as popular today as it was when the engine was first produced.  Its robust and simple design ensures a long and trouble free service.

The PELICAN is a "Vee" twin engine used in the Pelican Power plant and is a logical variation to the Puffin with the same cylinder capacity and cylinder output.

The GEMINI is a compact, high performance engine that will run smoothly on steam pressures of between 40 and 100 psi (3 and 6 bar).
Reversing is controlled by our tried and tested MAUDSLAY style gear
that is also fitted to the Proteus.

The PROTEUS model steam plant is for the boat enthusiast who prefers larger models. Our top of the range Proteus is superbly designed and engineered for a long and trouble free life.  With this engine the choice of either a horizontal or vertical boiler
to suit your specific requirements.
