	Locomotive Kits Both the Roundhouse Billy and Lady Anne Locomotives are available in Kit form.  Build and Pay for your locomotive one section at a time.

By building it yourself, not only are you saving money, but you will also have the satisfaction of producing your own working model.

The full set of kits builds up into either a 'Lady Anne' or 'Billy', however being modular, you don't have to buy the whole lot at one time. You can buy each kit separately and build up at your own speed.  You don't even have to buy a full set of kits, you may want just the chassis and fit your own boiler and body, or a chassis and boiler then build your own body to suit, it's as flexible as you make it. 

We also offer the bogie tender as used on our Fowler locomotive and the four wheeled tender as used on the William locomotive in kit form for those who wish to build a tender locomotive.

Building a steam locomotive is not the easiest of projects, but our kits contain all the necessary parts together with detailed instructions and require only basic tools for assembly.  No machining is necessary though a small number of holes may require drilling. 

Pressure vessels are supplied fully built, tested and certified and only require the relevant fittings screwing on. The bodywork is in 'etched brass' form and requires soft soldering. Difficult shapes are pre-formed for you and any folding required is done with the help of 'fold lines', etched into the brass.

These are not 'build it in one evening' kits, however any average modeler with care and patience can build a model to be proud of.
Painting of all items is left to the builder.
Chassis kits can be supplied with insulated wheels if specially requested. This will enable the loco to operate with track pickup electric locomotives without shorting out the electrics. An extra charge is made for this feature.

If you find the thought of assembling your own chassis a little daunting but still want to build something a little different, then we do offer ready built and tested chassis or chassis/boiler assemblies for you to add your own bodywork to.
